Coping with Trauma-Related Dissociation: Skills Training for Patients and Therapists

Have you ever dreamed about becoming a psychologist?

There is an opinion that all psychologists had suffered and ovecome their traumas themselves. That’s why they can help others to overcome their problems, they know exactly how to do it.

It’s obvious why anonymous support groups like AA are working successfully with their members. There are people who have experience of overcoming their mental illnesses and dependence and share it with others.

I have been interested in psychology for several years, and especially I’m interested in coping my traumatic past from my childhood. It took a lot of time to realise I was trying to escape my anxiety, loneliness and fear when I was on my own. I used to spend a lot of time hanging around, drinking too much, being in toxic relationships. I’ve developed very serious dependencies such as alcoholic and emotional dependency.

Emotional dependency is a real problem. You can live and not even notice that something is wrong. I have lived this way. Now I’m trying to work with it and do my job at the same time: to make book reviews and recommendations for you.

This book is in my Wish List and my Shopping List, because I’m planning to buy it in the nearest time.
